Basic Facts About Hard Chrome
- Deposited at the rate of .0005" / .001" per hour
- Extremely dense and wear resistant
- Any desired thickness .00005" to .100"
- Excellent corrosion resistance qualities
- Increases life by providing any machined or formed parts with wear resistant surfaces
- Low coefficiency of friction and will not gall
Hard Chrome on Aluminum
Hard chrome is deposited directly on aluminum without the use of a
substrate, thereby obtaining a bond to the aluminum as good or better
than the aluminum has to itself. This enables the plate to be ground,
honed or lapped to any finish desired. The chrome will withstand any
temperature that the aluminum
will withstand.
